Brewery: 8 Arch Brewing Co
Serve: 330ml Bottle
Price: Sample from #CraftBeerHour
Expectations: Apart from the lovely bottle and the kind words from Tom @CraftBeerHour we had no expectations.
Deliberations: More fruit on the nose, this time it is tropical fruit. Somewhere in between passionfruit, pineapple and tangerine.
First sips are all about the hops and the fruit. There is a fizz and a bitterness, which is drying on the tongue, but not overpowering.
More drinking lets the hops widen, the fruit become more a part of the overall flavour and out comes a citrus sharpness, which develops into a grapefruit flavour that lasts.
Verdict: Much hoppier than the Parabola by the same brewery. More complex and yet again super drinkable. This is less summery, more autumnal and lingers much longer in the mouth. Think hoppy breakfast cereal combined with that grilled grapefruit that your nan insisted on eating every weekend!
